Brown Eyed Beauty Business Terms of Agreement

Makeup Artist Contract

Between: Artist: Lucy Hollington ("Artist")

and

Client:                                  ("Client")

Date:

Event Date: [Wedding Date]

Event Location: [Wedding Location]

1. Services

The Artist agrees to provide makeup services for the Client and …. additional individuals (if applicable) for the Client's wedding on the Event Date. This includes  e.g., bridal makeup, bridesmaid makeup, etc.

2. Fees

 Total Price: £ [Total Price agreed by Artist]

 Non-Refundable Deposit: £ [Deposit Amount agreed by Artist]

 Trial Fee: £ [Trial Fee] (payable on the day of the trial)

 Cancellation Fee: See Section 5.

3. Payment Schedule

 Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of £     is due upon signing this contract to secure the booking.

 Trial Fee: Payable in full on the day of the makeup trial.

 Final Balance: The remaining balance of £ [Total Price - Deposit Amount] is due no later than four weeks (30 days) before the Event Date. Failure to pay the full balance by this date may result in the cancellation of the booking at the Artist's discretion, and the non-refundable deposit will be retained.

4. Trial

 A makeup trial will be scheduled for [Date and Time] at [Location].

 The trial fee of £ ……. is payable on the day of the trial.

 The Client is responsible for informing the Artist of any allergies or sensitivities before the trial and the Event Date.

5. Cancellation

Client Cancellation:

 If the Client cancels more than three months before the Event Date, only the non-refundable deposit will be retained.

 If the Client cancels less than three months before the Event Date, a cancellation fee of £30 will be charged in addition to the non-refundable deposit.

 If the Client cancels less than 28 days before the Event Date, 50% of the total price will be due.

 If the Client cancels less than 7 days before the Event Date, 100% of the total price will be due.

Artist Cancellation:

 If the Artist cancels, the Client will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit.

 The Artist will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement makeup artist if requested by the Client.

6. Responsibilities

 The Artist will arrive at the Event Location at [Time of Arrival] or as otherwise agreed.

 The Client is responsible for providing a suitable and safe working environment at the Event Location.

 The Client must inform the Artist in writing of any allergies or sensitivities before the trial and Event Date.

 The Client must ensure all individuals receiving services arrive on time to avoid delays.

7. Liability

 The Artist is not liable for any reactions to makeup products unless the Client has provided prior written notice of allergies or sensitivities.

 The Artist’s liability is limited to the total fees paid under this contract.

8. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond their control ("Force Majeure Event"), including but not limited to acts of God, war, pandemics, natural disasters, or strikes. Proof must be provided. In case of Force Majeure, deposits may be refunded at the Artist’s discretion.

9. Photography & Social Media

 The Client agrees / does not agree (please circle) to allow the Artist to take photographs of the completed makeup for promotional use.

 If consent is given, the Artist may use photos on social media, portfolio, website, and marketing materials.

 The Artist will not post any photos before the Event Date unless permission is granted by the Client.

 No personal details will be shared in conjunction with the photos.

10. Entire Agreement

This contract constitutes the entire agreement between the Artist and the Client, superseding all prior discussions and agreements.

11. Governing Law

This contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction].
